Hi,
I cannot get the the immobilizer off.
The key is dead apparently. I've got a mobile key out to code a new key and although he managed to get the code from the BCU he said the ECU was dead. I borrowed a mates identical car and put my ECU on it. It came up with some fault codes which were drivetrain related and cleared. Still won't clear the immobilizer. I don't know how to get the accelerator code.
I'm at a loss what to do now
Should I just get a ECU, BCU and key and start again or does anyone have other ideas.
It's a 07 100hp

CHEERS

ECU is coded to the BCU
BCU is coded to the key

You can't just change one in isolation

There's also complications with the dash and milage

You can change the ECU for one that's blank it will then copy the information from BCU (virginised ECU)

You can't change the BCU on its own without programming it first

You can change the
Keys
Dash
ECU
Locks
BCU
As a set without programming

Almost certainly the original ECU was fine
Did the locksmith try and add the new key, if he didn't also read the original key at the same time it will now be blacklisted

What error codes are present in the BCU?

Did he give you the CODE

Does the battery light, engine light or oil light go out as you try and crank the car?
