General Blue sensor hanging off rear loom .

I have a fiat uno 1.4 pacer, 1993.i am busy fixing it up. I noticed a cable hanging off the wiring loom behind the engine.it has a blue slip on connector. The car goes well, I need to know what this is for? A sensor.
Your help will be appreciated, see attached picture

is this perhaps the cable to the TDC sensor?
