i appreciate this is an older guide now but i thank you for it... unfortunately being the ham-fisted fool i am i was unable to carry out the procedure correctly. i was aiming to replace the badge of which the centre had fallen out.

i found the lugs but managed to snap each and every one, im not sure if the plastic gets brittle with age (it's a 2003 model). in the end i just pulled it off and then faced the nightmare of trying to remove the old badge on which the nut had rusted.

not to be out-done i managed to drill out the rusted badge nut and replace it with the new using a larger washer behind (as i'd also destroyed some of the plastic with my antics). when it came to re-attaching the grille i screwed 4 new screws into the top of the grille which then joined it to the bumper... these won't be seen when the bonnet is down an hopefully will last a while.
