Today my headlight stopped working so I needed to repair it, but I had to remove it first. Some lights worked and some didn't and some were all scrambled. There was a problem with the "-" (the ground in other words) and with the wires and with the contacts and water, and everything
I didn't know how to do it so I started slowly. I saw the headlight was held in place by 3 bolts (or screws or whateva) but it couldn't be removed because of the bumper. On the other hand I couldn't remove the bumper because I couldn't see all the bolts. I found most of them but some were hidden. At the end I had to remove the wheel so I could remove the plastic around it (again more unscrewing) so I could see all the bolts from the bumper. I found two of them there. I didn't remove the whole bumper, I just unscrewed enough so I can pull it enough to make room for the headlight to go out. I didn't touch the right side of the car. Just left wheel, 3 bolts at the left side of the wheel, the plastic around the wheel, 2 bolts that were hidden under it on the upper left side, 3 bolts on the left side of the car under the bumper and 2 bolts above the bumper between the 2 headlights. That was enough to pull the bumper a little down and away from the car so I could take out the headlight and unplug it from the main connector.
The contacts on the main connector were dirty and almost green from oxidation and I had to clean that. I used some wd40 and sand paper. Wire number 1, the black one, was "-" and I found that the number 4 was the long light. It's fuse is in the fuse box under the hood. The short light fuse is in the car (you have the diagrams under the lid of the fuse boxes). I changed a lot of wires in the headlight and fixed a mess that electricians left behind from their "fast fixing".
I put some silicon around the headlight so it doesn't collect rain like it used to and I'm really happy now I fixed it..... because I started clueless and scored an epic win at the end
