I thought my rear arms were going again. had a good look and my rear sub frame on my 5dr is coming away on the passenger side. :(

Where and how much are they. and will I have to remove the WHOLE thing inc brake pipes and the handbrake cables (a pain, and will probably break when I remove them (n) )

grrr internet keeps going down whilst I type this.

tried shop4 and I think its the front bush.

its located just above and infront of the rear left arm bolt/mounts.

£7.14 is bargainous.

Just worried that it may require the whole subframe being removed to get enough access to the bush so I can get it replaced.

And is there much point going for the modified *fit over* bush when the cost difference is nill.
or when the old bush is removed from the frame will it damage the hole/mount???

Any chance you have a eper parts diagram page so I can tell which it is (front or rear).

If its the front ones and you havent fitted replacement bushes before then all you have to do is drop the bolt out of the subframe, lower it, fit new bush over old one and then refit bolt.

* Note without seeing it im just guessing this is the problem and whats needed to cure it.

cheers goldie.

thats the haynes pic isn't it???

either way, its defo the front one. although I may as well relplace the rear whilst I'm there, don't want to have to do the job twice or more (n)

when you say 'lower it' you mean the front end of the subframe??
how far, and do you think this will disturb the solid brake lines (they are OK and about 2years old back there, but still, don't fancy having to do them *again* ).

Yes its from the haynes manual.

Ive neverknown the rears to go.

Yes i mean the front end of the subframe and as far down as you need to get the bush over the old one i did mine with brake lines in place etc and had no problems.

have you got a catalogue link, as I can't navigate the tweaks website, tis a mess.

if I could get near solid poly jobs I would. but I've already ordered a repair bush, a new front and a new rear. and I'll send back what I don't use, all base's covered as it were

Buy the "Resilent bushing" with original Fiat part number 310046476755. Unscrew the two bolts Goldie marked on the picure...place the "cups" over and put the bolts back on. 5 mins job - and takes away the "klang klang" sound. You don't have to think about the rear ones, they will not wear and make a problem.

BALZ!!!!!

I only ordered 1x repair bush  :(

:p These things happen...but it was the one on passenger side that was worst wasn't it? Change that one and the other a few day's after then it arrives. No danger driving with it like that, I was listening to it for 6 months before I changed them spending money on spoiler and wheels/lowering, etc. meanwhile. :D

well got them done.

I had forgotten one of my axel stands and the jack handle  on my way home, so they were in teh NE, I was in teh NW, and the parts were no where in sight.

the back end was getting quite wild on roundabouts and changing surfaces so I took it to the friendly garage and they did it pretty quick.

meanwhile we went out as a family and I got a new waterproof. was £229, got it for £100!!! its loverly:D
