While reading Auto express long term test on the panda cross...I like it great for the more rural areas..Has anyone seen is in their area?

Hmm, I'm both impressed by the Panda and depressed by the cuts they're trying to bandage with those budget Pandulances. When're the Police going to get real Panda cars too?

I'm guessing it's for remote areas and rough terrain, thinking muddy fields at concerts and stuff to maybe?

I think some police force in the UK had the last Panda in its fleet as a mobile speed camera car.

Though I can't seem to find it, I snapped a cool, dark green "Guardia di Finanza" Panda Pop at Marco Polo airport last year, the officer seemed quite pleased I wanted a pic.

Off to Rome next month with camera ready!

The Fiamme Gialle (Guardia di Finanza) have all sorts - a good friend of ours who's one of them was driving round Sardegna in a jeep with snow chains three weeks ago and still couldn't get to where he was going (and we were hoping to - google mamutones Mamoiada), Corpo Forestale, post office and telephone company use lots of 4x4 Pandas. The Carabinieri are too important and tend to have higher range Alfas.

Oh yes, red-striped trousers, lots of glitter and shiny leather boots. Almost comedic really. They routinely stopped us once in remote Emilia Romagna, clearly out of sheer boredom and to provide an elegant display of practiced boredom.
