Here we go people, the next big event for FF.

How much? £5 per Italian Car
Midlands Italian Car Day is back in the East Midlands for its 12th year. The venue is historic Elvaston Castle, which is just off the A52 near to Borrowash.
On Sunday 5th August we will have exclusive use of the large showground site, with its own entrance a few hundred yards from the main public access to the castle.
MITCAR will open at 10.30am and stewards will be on handto park the cars by marque. The entrance fee will again be a modest £5 per Italian Car, once again confirming a commitment to give best possible value. This will entitle all attendees to free entrance with direct access to the imposing GradeII listed gardens and lakeside walks.
There is a café in thecastle courtyard serving drinks, snacks and light lunches and there will alsobe a catering van on the showground for our exclusive use.
Although imposing from the outside, the castle building has fallen into disrepair is generally not open to the public but the extensive grounds and environs are well worth the visit and in the stable yard there is an information centre and gift shop.
As always visitors in any Italian car will be welcome and we can expect both classics and modern.
There will again be a competition for ‘Car of the Day’ (The Camshaft Trophy and Cup) and this year this will again involve a popular vote. Other awards will be made too.
The competitive element is always light-hearted at MITCAR and sometimes the unusual and off-beat is rewarded, which might not be the case in a conventional Concours. It all adds to the fun! Prize giving will be at 3pm and, as has become the custom, all those who filled in voting papers will be entered in a prize draw.
Dealership displays are expected for Alfa Romeo and Fiat, and some other trade stands will be present.
Many will want to picnic and sensible barbecues will be allowed. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash.

We welcome ALL members and cars on our stand - doesn't matter if your car is standard or modded, old or new. If you want to be with us, all you need to do is:
- Click the "Add Me" button in the attendees section at the top.
- Fill in your details in the "Event Registration" section of the User CP
- Meet us in ASDA on the day and we'll convoy in
IMPORTANT!!! Changes in meeting...
Due to a issue with flooding on the grass area at the castle, the event has been moved onto the carpark tarmac. This means we no longer have a dedicated area, so to get around this, we'll be meeting at the local Asda first - then convoying in so we can all park together.
YOU NEED TO MEET US IN THE DERBY ASDA AT 10AM - If you are late and we leave without you, we cannot guarantee you will be able to park with us at the event.

Once we arrive at the castle, a member of our team will help you park up, so then head over to the marquee where we'll give you a nice name badge before pointing you over to the *free* refreshments!
Refreshments?
Yes! From 10:30 until about 12:00 there will be free tea, coffee, soda and biscuits available in the marquee. We welcome you all to come in and have a cuppa and a good old chin wag with our friendly members
Then at around 13:00 - the BBQ will be started, where again, free food will be on offer (along with a load more tea and soda if you need it!)
So - a quick run down?
10:00 - Meeting at Derby ASDA to prepare for convoy
10:15/20 - Leaving for convoy into the groups.
10:30 to 12:00 - Coffee hour (and a bit) in the marquee - get your coffee/tea/soda and biscuits whilst nattering with like minded Italian car lovers
13:00 - Group Photoshoot, followed by the FF BBQ - burgers and whatever else we picked up the night before from Tesco.
I'm scared / nervous / etc etc
Don't worry if you've never been an event before, or you have but have trouble talking to new people - we've got all this sorted. Everyone will get a name badge when they park up, and members of our team will greet you and introduce you to a few more members - no need to walk up to groups and try and "fit in" - we do it all for you!!
So no excuses!
