 Sweet baby jesus and the orphans!

Testament to how strong some jap motors are if he drove that in. How was it running?

I had a 15y/o mazda pickup with almost no oil in the sump - what was in there was like a jelly. Couldn't get the head bolts out, had to put the hoist on & lift the front end of the motor up using the cylinder head just so I could loosen the head bolts enough to get a hacksaw in to chop the bolts. 4 spark plugs with no electrode or centre contacts. Distributor cap with no centre contact and 4 side contacts almost gone. . . and it still ran like a dream! (I had it for about a month before I could get around to looking at it)

Went to visit my youngest at his works the other week, they had a 4y/o 4x4 outside the workshop with the front end missing. The lump was out and on a hoist in the workshop - needing shedloads of work doing because it hadn't been serviced in over 2 yrs - apparently, the owner thought it should be covered under warranty!!

wow this is what the inside of my mk2 mondy V6 looked like when i popped the engine 2 weeks after buying it after previous owner showed me the reciept of a ford dealer service it had had 2 weeks before i bought it, i have never had probs like this and i stand by the tesco own brand engine oil, i have only blown up 1 engine and that was the v6 lol, fingures crossed i wont ever lol

~toddles off to service sei~

My old Toyota went on for many 1000s of miles after gaining the death rattle (caused by overheating due to rad blocked with mud), she had at least one oil change after it started, and did around 8 or 9000 miles with rattle before eventually dying on the M23/M25 junction as I drove home :-(

 I didnt get to drop the sump the customer has had us get the car recovered to his house whilst he thinks about what he is going to do with it :rolleyes: but on the upside i had another good one today and it only came in for an exhaust but who can tell me whats wrong:rolleyes::D:D
