What are peoples thoughts on the Mint Milkshake pale green color.

I saw a Pop that was supposedly Mint Milkshake on a very bright sunny day and it looked like an off white. You could barely tell it was green. Nothing like it looked on the color chart.

When I Google the Mint Milkshake there is a surprising variation in hues.

Mint Milkshake Green images

I particularity like the darker images of it, like the one in the collection with the blonde woman standing by the car. However I dislike the washed out whitish images of the color. I know the variation is probably a white balance issue with digital photos and in reality all the cars are the same.

So does any one have one and does it stay Green in the sun :D

It's called smooth mint, not milkshake mint :)

It's not really white balance, it can be lighting or just a different camera.

There will be a small variation in colour from the factory but not to the point where you will notice it.

My apologies, Fiat Australia have chosen to call it milkshake mint, just like they call newer cars series 3's. My bad....

For anyone who has a 500 in Milkshake Mint / Smooth Milkshake / Mint liscio.
Does it always look green or does it become pale and appear to turn white in bright sunlight?

it always looks green, you'll never mistake it for white, it's very distinctive

Maybe it is a different color that I am looking at then.

I took the images below with my Canon 70D after the sales rep and I both commented on how white it looked in the sun glare. I took the photo because it looked so white and I wanted to show it to my wife who likes the brochure rendition.

Straight out of the camera. I have not fiddled with the white balance.

Here I have changed white balance and pegged the saturation to make the green show. If the car really looked like this I would not have started this thread or asked the question.

So I am dubious. Doesn't seem anyone around here actually has the car in this color. Someone who lives with it everyday would know.

I've seen many in that colour. Trust your eyes.... It looks more like the top in real life. If you look at the top photo on its own it looks green, look at the bottom photo and then the top one looks white. The colour looks how it would have looked to you in person. It's not a strong green if that's what you're asking.

Cameras can do funny things with colours, take the wife to go and see it.

The human brain is a funny thing. When my 500 is all clean and waxxed up it looks very white, but drive it in the snow and it's cream.

Spotted parked near to Mrs homeward's Mk3 Panda, the other day. As @306 maxi says, it's unmistakably green... -- even in bright sunlight, like this one was. :D

I have an Oslo Grey Mk2 Panda: which is really a green colour... -- but it can look beige, out of natural sunlight. In some ways, I think this colour has the same issues: as it's so pale.

Thank you both. sort of confirms my feelings on the color. Will probably go for Sky Blue / Volare which whilst pale does not seem to be as effected. Subjective I know.

My wife had the first smooth mint 500 registered in the uk (since returned to the garage due to running problems , see previous posts). I can assure you it's always green, but definitely lighter in bright sunlight

I know it always gets a negative reaction, but you've probably been lied to by your dealer. They have no way of knowing whether a 500 of that colour was registered before yours.

Why the need to turn every thread into a pi$$ing contest! Why not just take some comments at face value, instead of trying to be the expert on everything from car colours, to registration to how cameras work.

Alfie good to hear from someone who actually has the colour. I like the green but have ended up grabbing a sky blue.

Because dealers will say anything to butt you up for selling supaguard, gap insurance or a service plan.

My 500 was the first 500 they sold with a red leather interior. Months later I saw a 500 from the same dealer in an earlier plate with a red leather interior.
