My windscreen wiper doesn't seem to have have any guts when on intermittant mode. works fine when on constant, but strugles(sp?) or stops altogether on intermittant.

Has anyone got any ideas what it could be?

Thanks in advance

Nick

ISTR that the wiper power is pulsed by a relay of sorts (which lives in the fuse box) which starts the wiper action off, and that it relies on a miniscule track on the back of the wiper motor to provide the rest of the cycle of the wipe to return to the park position.

The module which does this clips on the back of the wiper motor - which can be accessed by removing the sound proofing under the bonnet on the UK passenger side.

In all honesty it isn't really intended to be repaired, but I fixed an intermittant on the CLX wiper by repairing a dry-joint on this board.

Perhaps the quick and dirty fix might be a wiper from the scrap yard[:0]
Get the "relay" too, while you're there.

Anyone else with other experiences of wipers???

Yep,
Fix it with a replacement from a scrapper...It's a lot less hassle.

HHmmmmmmm
