I have changed the upper seals and readjusted the driver side window twice. Fitted just right, the window will fit nicely under the soft-top seal overhang when opening and closing the door. With time, temperature change, and/or seal movement the window may start catching, letting rain and/or noise/wind in. This can be handled by manually dropping and raising the windows in all cases except for the one window when leaving the car.
I'm primarily considering mounting an auto drop & raise system, but wonder how the electronics age. Any experience? Ever retrofitted one? To a barchetta? Did you source it from a scrapyard, Henk or parts/set from China or such?
Another possible way is to install the after market window holders, with increased stability they supposedly press the window past a catching seal overhang. I wonder how all parts involved handle the extra force/stress, ie what gives. Any experience?
Thanks,
tjr
