Any guidence is appreciated

No im 3rd party fire theft...
so i have to pay
any ideas???

Where is the chip - a windshield or side window?

If it is the windshield, I would not get excited about it. I drove my first 45 for 5 years with similar chip in the windshield and it never shown any signs of spreading as the windshield is made of a laminated glass. I believe there is a windshield chip repair kit available - basically a container with a suction cup filled with (probably) a clear epoxy. I never tried this and I am not sure about the manufacturer - Holt, Wynn? It is sold in local Tesco. Maybe it would be worth trying the stuff.

If the chip is in the side window, then it is altogether different story and the window needs to be changed ASAP, otherwise you are risking that it will fall apart after you close the door (how do I know ?).

i disagree, its better to fix it now rather than wait for the innevitable, once it gets cold enough and you put your heaters on in the car just watch the windscreen will cave right in there, it happened to my mate, which then means you need a brand new windshield which is a pain in the arse to replace. There are people that can repair it with some sort of resin before the crack gets any bigger.

 F R O $ T Y

I've had a couple of repairs done at RAC auto windscreens takes about 1 hr and they inject some kind of resin into the crack. Think it costs about £15. Better to get it done sooner before it gets full of crap. It'll never be perfect but won't crack which is a possibility if you don't get it done.
