unfortuantly no such thing, the hormann is imo expensive for what it is, and the lester is just plain nasty...

but thats me there are companies like matrix designs who used to stock a hormann knock off for about £550,

but in reality id go for simple things, if you dont have them, get the bumpers from a 70sx or better a turbo, foggys are on there, the mk2 top spec bumpers look good on a mk1,

other than that its a case of looking at kits for other cars that can be adapted/cut/shut to suit yours, more effort than its worth, some of the best i've seen are the simple basic bodyshells with nice paint jobs..

seen a couple of kits on the uno, dont know what these are tho...

1 of thems nice, not keen on the rest

Nataspuno,

In my opinion very few body kits look good on a Uno. The Uno has such clean lines to begin with, and some of the cheaper/ bad boy body kits are just way over the top. They look too much liked 'Chavved up' Novas!

The only body kit I've seen that looked good was, I think, the Hormann kit. Frosty has this fitted to his turbo and it actually enhances the look of the Uno. Maybe Frosty can post some pictures of his car so you can get to see it? Looks really smart!

Unfortunately, if it's still available new it is not cheap. Frosty was lucky to pick one up second hand. However, you do get what you pay for, and the cheaper kits look just that. Cheap and nasty!

Other than that, how about fitting turbo bumpers, wheels arches and side skirts? They are quite subtle and look good.

The only nice bodykit for the Uno is the abarth under bumper kit from fiat. Fiat dont stock it anymore though.

Nice alloys and lowering springs make it look excellent though, maybe colour coded or half colour coded bumpers and a subtle set of side skirts.

And possible even try to find a front splitter from something like a mk2 polo.

In my opinion the Hormann Bodykit is and always will be the best bodykit there is for the uno turbo. This is because it is an old skool design for an old skool car. However that is not to say that an uno cant look good without a bodykit. I only stuck a hormann kit on mine because i got myself a bargain. But my original plan for the car was to do it up how chris has done his one up. An uno can look proper nice with simple and subtle mods such as delocking doors, smoothing the boot etc and colour coding. A new spray job also helps as does lowering the car and a nice set of wheels. You cant go wrong. Those unos in every one of those pictures are horrendous. They look like LEGO bricks stuck together. If i was to do up another uno i would make it look like this black one which is nicely done. Not too over the top, jus Euro styled, deep dish wheels, extra wide arches, standard bumpers and skirts, with badboy bonnet. Looks ace IMO I've also attached a pic of my uno with the Early Mark 1 style hormann kit on it.
