hey so after finding out that a fiat bravo requires alloy wheels that measure 98 pcd and something bore size......iv found it extremly hard to find any alloy wheels that meet the right requirements, how ever iv come across a couple of people saying something called sliding bolts for sale that will make the alloys that wouldnt normally fit...fit?? am i being conned, if not where else can i buy these from and are they universal, will one size sliding bolt make any alloys wheel fit a bravo. sorry for any confusion but it really is hard to find nice alloys for a bravo that arent gonna have your pants down price wise!! thanks

Search is your friend.

TIP: Wobbly bolts enable you to fit 4 stud alloys with PCD 4x100. The bore must be bigger than 58.1 (spiggot rings are used to reduce the bore) and the ET around 38. Alloy wheel shops will supply the spiggot rings and bolts for you in the price usually.

ok so i just want to double check this then before i blow my cash on them...They are 4 stud multi-fitment meaning both 4x100 and 4x108, offset i think is ET38, Tyres are Falken FK452's. they should then fit with wobbly bolts i think??

i wouldnt run a 45 profile on 17's if its lowered, i damaged the back of the marea quite a bit doing this thinking it was a bright idea to run stilo tyres that were on the rims when i got them.

however IIRC when i did the measurments 18's with a 35 profile 'should' be okay (y)

but would it be a significant differance from the 17s that are already fitted??

Oh yes!!

I know people who have buckled alloys on pot holes from running very low profiles.
The ride will be quite harsh.

I was doing the same as Bulldog, running on Stilo 215/45/17. In fairness though I never really carried weight in the back of the car so its possible they will rub. Thinking back, this could have been before I lowered it 35mm.

Remember, Wheels with a much larger diameter go above factory design specifications.
As a result performance, handling and braking suffer.

yeh very true, so would your honest opinon be stay with 17,s but maybe get go down to 35 if possible on the tyre, as i do carry people in the back quite often??

35 profile tyres will be rock hard. stick to 17s with 40 profile, but the real secret is to have the correct offset, then rubbing isnt an issue.
