Sorry if this is a dumb question but I really don't know where to start..

My wipers now have no rubber left and I'm in danger of scraping the windscreen.. Can anyone point me in a good direction?

Thanks panda people
Matt

I had a bit of a faff finding a blade that fit for the front. I gave up and went to halfords, for a pound or two extra they will take an armful of blades out to the car and fit the right one. I did feel a bit stupid but it saved a lot of messing about. I kept the box so I know what to buy next time too.

Your local motor factor should be able to help. Their registration database seems to go back years and they can pull the right item straight off the shelf.

Failing that, I might be tempted by an original Fiat item if my own Audi is anything to go by. The wipers on that were getting old so I bought some off Ebay. Rubbish, squeaked and rubbed their way over the windscreen. Next I bought some Bosch ones from Halfords. Same crap, smeary too.

Finally went to Audi and bought a pair for not much more than Halfords. Perfect. They are quiet and smooth, even if you forgot to turn the wipers off in the rain and they start on a dry screen.

Slightly embarrassed to say that I bought an emergency pair of 16" wipers from Poundland a couple of years ago - one is still working perfectly on Chiaro and the other is waiting for it to wear out. 2 years for 50p has to be a bargain and it seems just as effective as the £15 Halfords/Bosch ones. Don't understand how it stayed together, but it's fine!!!

So a 16" blade from a VAG garage would be a good bet then(y)

Bought some standard Bosch 'super plus' blades, 16" and 13" off ebay.. But they don't fit..
They seem to be designed for a u bend type of wiper arm, whereas my panda just has a plain old metal rod..

I'm really fed up of trying to work this out on.ine, there must be a simple answer, what am I doing wrong someone?

Bought the same ones from halfords...then went to the pound shop and bought a set because the pound shop ones have lots of spare attachments that you need to fix them on your wiper arms. So, in short..use your Bosch ones and get attachments.
