Vista not supporting audi driver

just installed vista on a computer that used to run XP.

just went to do the audi driver which i got from dell and it wont install because it doesn't support vista.

any ideas?

cant youc arry on never the less my old pc is using win 98 drivers in places xp tho

Don't re-install the audi driver..

It's a pretentious little piece of software, it'll look down on your Fiat and keep coming up with pop-ups about "residuals" and "Glyndebourne".

yeah Vista's awful but my dad was used to it so i put it on his computer.

it keeps crashing so im going to put XP back on it.

Fo some reason the Dells or maybe other comps only have the audio for xp someone else may be clever and have a solution.
I cant believe that me Mac Boy knows that.

Its probably something to do with the HD Audio bus standard brought in fairly recently which means the Audio is on its own isolated bus which needs drivers for windows to even see it :bang:.
