With so much metalwork being done on Lulu the Fila I thought it would be nice to have the original seat bolster repaired or re-upholstered ready for its new MOT. I know absolutely nothing about the process although I can guess its not cheap. Do you think an upholsterer have a go at fixing whats in the pictures below or would they quote an insane figure or just tell me to go away.

I would guess that it needs new material as there's not a lot left to work with.

There is a company in York which makes bespoke seat covers - about £800 a set though!

If the foam needs replacing (which it does) that'll be more on top.

Alfa seats - even nice red ones - would be cheaper!

Hopefully someone nearer to you can fix them up for less.

Thanks for the reply John :) It is pretty knackered isn't it. The fabric feels quite thin even where it isn't already torn.

What material would you say they are made out of. Nylon or Polyester or something else?
