General UNO!

Personaly i voted "It's a nice car...for the Fiat admirers only!"..

reason i voted this is because yes, its a nice car and i love it but, there is better than an uno and i believe that the only people that really love unos are there owners and fiat lovers. normal people think there s**t. Its a nice, nippy car thats reliable and easy to maintain without breaking the bank and if your into boxy styling (like i am), its a damn nice looker too!

I voted for this because it is a nice car but its true everyone else that drives next to u or behind u just thinks its a nother slow uno. i must admit myself its a good and hasn't let me down yet (Touch Wood) and the numerous things that u can do wiv it are endless. out of all the cars i've had :-
Citroen ZX 1.4
Skoda Estelle 1.3
Fiat uno 903cc
And now fiat uno start 1.0IE

This is by far the best car i have owned.

lol reliable and cheap to fix i think not bushboy!

fiats are one of the most expesive cars out for parts!

reliable, any car is reliable untill it starts to go wrong my feul pump went the other day and i dont call £134 quid cheap to fit and thank god im handy and could fit it myself otherwise that would of been another £26 quid on top to gte it fixed!

gotta love the uno's

Of course foreign brands are not cheap for spare parts as national ones, even if I don't see here an enormous differece between the prices for a Renault-Ford-Peugeot-Citroen and a Fiat[8)], the difference is how easy you can find the pieces you need...and quickly;)!

well compared to some car companies parts are cheap! and with unos being such basic cars there isnt too much that can really go wrong... didnt u buy ur car for £50? or something like that? I would expect to have problems if i bought a car for £50... paid 900 for my uno with most major mods already done (alloys, lowered etc.) but ive never had a single problem with it... well nothing major.. most problems are just me being picky heh

"dont park that thing next to my home"

And just for the record, i find getting parts (other than official FIAT) from car specialists hell. Most haven't even heard of a Cinquecento [xx(]

Another day...another problem...

Want parts? And I mean any parts! Call 07980 086080. They are in walthamstow, Mckrob which is only around the north circular from you and they specialise in anything Fiat. They are not official neither so prices are decent!

Unos rock! My first car was a '91 Uno Formula (903cc 45 with posh stuff like a temp guage ;) ). That ancient rusty beast ran like a beauty. The 903 is a quality engine if it's looked after. Mine ran to 97mph on a 4-speed box (might have topped the ton on a 5-speeder) and out-accelerated all my mates cars (16-valve micra, yaris 1.0vvti, nova 1.2). Fun in the corners too.
Was a shame when I got rid of it, but it was getting too expensive to maintain. Lots of underbody rust and knackered front balljoint led me to sell my Uno and invest in a '94 Punto. Last saw my old car when I went down the scrappy for a Punto gearbox [:0]

Yup, bit sad to see my faithful white Uno in the scrapper's. It was still in one piece, still started perfectly too! Too good even to bury. But if I'd bought it back I couldn't have afforded the new 'box for my Punto :(
Maybe one day when they're classics, I'll get me another H-plate 903cc Uno :p

As for 'box swapping on the Uno, Unoboy, if you can find a 5-speeder that'll fit on the 903 then it's about a day's work between 2 people to swap it. At least, it took that long on my Punto, Uno might be easier due to smaller engine bay and simpler mechanicals. Just make sure it's a decent 'box and change the oil in it. And let me know if the beast tops the ton afterwards!!! [8D]
