Evening all,

As in the message title, do they actually do anything or are they just a pile of cr*p gimic?

Cheers

as far as im aware, they just make your car think its cold all the time, (which means it pumps more petrol into the mixture) thus resulting in slightly more power, but its not healthy for the car to be overfueling like that.

someone correct me if im wrong?

Do you have a link to what you are referring to?

Fit any of those and you'll knacker your engine.

Its basically a 10p resistor which basically fools your car into thinking it needs to over-fuel. Same as driving with the choke out and never pushing it back in.

IIRC it leads to bore wash.

Bad, bad, bad.

Sorted,

I thought they looked a bit dodgy all competing with each other saying others are rubbish etc.

How about Angel Tuning for the remap? what sort of gains would be expected for a 1.2 with induction kit fitted?

cheers

about 10bhpish
However, smoother through the gears, better accelleration, and better fuel economy.  Had my 80sx mapped for a couple of years before selling her on.
The 1.2 will never be a ferrari beater but the lightweight engine and a map makes it pretty nifty off the mark.  Most things will catch it up but can suprise a few HGT off the mark :)
