Look I know I'm not supposed to do this but if anyone on this forum is bidding on that Sky on ebay then tell me now, cos I'm going to. What I don't want to do is push up the price for anyone. I won't compete with a forum member for it. But I want it bad if your not bidding folks................... Sorry if this post ain't supposed to be here.

Good luck with your bidding. She does look a cracking little motor :), but if your going to look at her check the doors. Can't really tell from the pictures if they've been resprayed by Stevie Wonder , or if the laquer has lifted.

Oh, and the usual rusty doors :yuck:- along the bottoms where the water gets in thru the seals between the door window surround frame window and the glass.

Thanks for the advice folks. Got to be honest, with the money I got I probably ain't gonna get her. And if I get her for the money I got, condition ain't gonna be too important!

I've a sneeky suspicion there is a door in my cellar. And a bonnet. And rear pop out window glass in my mothers bedroom. And, come to that, a rear tail gate for a 126 bis! And an exhaust for an air cooled 126....

Gonna leave the bidding til later to see if she gets out of my range.

Look, now I've been distracted. Just got myself a working password for a site with rather glamourous ladies on it, and while I was distracted with this blasted Panda, me password has expired! These damn cars affect all areas of your life, don't they!

Don't panic! I've found another password that works. Was panicing a bit there meself.....

bidder number 1 is me:eek: but as I rarely pay more than £100 for a Panda I think this one will soon be out of my range. With MOT and tax I expect it will fetch £300/400, thats Mercedes type money for me.

Blimey look, I've got an avatar and everything now! That fat lass in the picture has kept me on the breadline for over two years now. Keeping a proper woman must surely be cheaper, isn't it fellas.....? ;)

(y) And look, I've worked out how to add smilies!!!

Maybe three weeks off here could be put to better use, do you think!? :D:D

 Ok, and a signature. I've edited this post about ten times now. I really do need to get a life! :spin:

Has anyone else noticed that, looking at the picture of the engine, the vac advance looks to be shot and there is no pipe on it?

A comparatively easy fix I know, but
Shot vac advance with its pipe still on, fair enough.
A shot vac advance and without its pipe?
Rgds.

As I have 3 spare 999cc fire engines (one carbed, one bosch and one magnelli) plus a ready to go spare 1242 16v the state of the engine would be the last of my worries:devil:

It looks to be one of the last carbed ones. cheers Damon

(y)Well spotted about the vacuum advance! Never saw that. What's the betting it's hanging down the back there unseen?

Carbed in '92. Wow, didn't think they were then. Very late.

Guy has a good feedback record so at the price its hanging about at I'm still interested. Any other comments gladly received though.:p

The CAT law came in in August 92 as stated but there was a hang over of a few months and a small number of cars were registered later than August.

For example, there was a Pink Panda on Ebay recently which although on a carb, was first registered in March 93. However as the general rule, the change over can be taken as August 92.
Rgds.
