Afternoon all,

Just home after a steady Midlands to Carlisle,Gateshead, Middlesbrough back to Midlands run
And after having the throttle body replaced this last week and the crud that was in it, sent my mind thinking as you do on a big trip,

Has any one tried or know of, anyone having they're Ducato "terracleaned"

This I saw in wheeler dealers ages ago a process that removes engine deposits and crud, and restoring power, mpg etc.

Seen some positive and no negative reviews on Google but nothing on ducatos

With all the EGR and throttle valve problems some guys have it although not cheap might be a good solution to coke, crud build up?

I've started using every 6 months Forte diesel turbo cleaner (2 bottles in a full tank) bought off Amazon, really made a difference first time when I posted this link (after watching same episode of wheeler dealers lol)
Like a new engine, turbo whistle was back, did 2nd treatment last week

(I do 100k a year so prob not as needed as stop n start lower mileage clogged up engines)
Also I use redex inj cleaner or cetane boost every couple of weeks

Add to this, as my last post, fuel filter, I find a distinct lack of pick up once the fuel filter has done 25k +
Pop a new one on if it's not been changed for a while and don't use supermarket fuel (tends to be higher in sulphur and less cleaning properties by all accounts)

I'd be reluctant to put anything into the fuel to clean a dirty inlet manifold because the fuel doesn't go through the manifold to start with on a diesel these build ups are a direct result of the egr its the soot that i wouldn't want going the motor to start with manual cleaning is the only way to clean it out properly and while the manifolds off if the egr falls off so be it Cheers Adam
