Hi

I have a motorhome based on a Fiat Ducato (2021 or 2022 - not quite sure which). It's got the Partial LCD instrument pack, with the speedo dial labelled in KMH (picture below). I need to get the speedo dial labelled in MPH, to register the van when I bring it back into the UK, in a few months time. I can see the following options . . . .

1. Buy a Partial LCD cluster (with speedo labelled in MPH), from either a breaker or a main dealer. Does anyone know the part numbers of the Partial LCD instrument packs, labelled in MPH? Any thoughts on the best UK breaker for Ducatos?

2. Get a Full LCD cluster, and change the labels in software settings. Does anyone know if the Full LCD is a direct replacement for the Partial LCD (physical size, electronic connectors, and software)? If so, do you know the part number of the Full LCD version?

3. Open the existing (Partial LCD) cluster and fit an MPH-labelled speedo dial. Unfortunately, the big supplier of replacement dials - Lockwoods - doesn't do one of these. Does anyone know of another supplier of MPH labelled dials? And, it is possible to open up the cluster and replace the speedo dial?

Any other ideas most welcome :)

It has an Auto gearbox (if that makes a difference). VIN = ZFA25000002X144NN

Thanks very much in advance

Nod

Here is the PARTIAL LCD instrument cluster (which I currently have - just need to switch the labelling of the speedo dial to MPH) . .

Hi

Thanks for your interest. I've almost solved it . .

So far it looks as if the best way is just to take out the kmh partial LCD and replace it directly with an mph partial LCD, via a Fiat main dealer.

To get to that point, I have tried dozens of breaker's yards (I guess the mph partial LCD unit will turn up eventually, but it's only been on the road for a couple of years). I've also tried Lockwood's (who specialise in printing new Speedo dials), who don't currently have that dial tooled up, but who *might* be able to do it (I don't have time to take that chance).

I hope that helps and best of luck.

I'll post the part numbers here, when I get them. The Fiat dealer is, understandably, reluctant to tell me the part number, as that's what all the breakers use.

New cluster is about £500. Which is a lot. What I'm more annoyed about is the waste. This is a 50p change that ends up costing £500 and I have a spare instrument cluster (kmh) stacked in my garage . ..

Cheers

Hi. Interesting and frustrating! Thanks so much for the info.

I'm taking mine to an importer next week.
They called yesterday and said they cannot source the facia they were hoping to get. Maybe they assumed Lockwood's would do it??
They mentioned a few options including them scanning the facia and printing a replacement, a separate LCD display to go on the dashboard and I think the third option was a replacement unit like you mention.

Tbh it was difficult to understand what they had in mind as the line was so bad. I will update after I've spoken to them in person.

Thanks

Im looking for cluster (km) on my 2023 Ducato motorhome.
Do you have your old one , Im interesting to buy it from you
Thanks

Here is the picture of the back of the kmh (kilometres, metric) cluster, as fitted to the vehicle from new.

I hope that's ok use, and if anyone knows which number is the part number, etc, please feel free to chip in.

I've ordered the mph (miles, imperial) unit and will post an equivalent photo, when I get the unit.
