I feel an idiot asking this, but I wanted to make sure - is placing an ad in the forum classifieds free for forum members? I'm considering trading up my 500 and wanted to give the folks on here first grabs!

It's not a stupid question - I'd much rather folks asked about what they are unsure of than carry on regardless.
Placing an ad in the classified section is free unless you are a trader. Don't worry if there doesn't seem to be anywhere to put a 500; the categories are hidden if there are no ads and will show up once you've placed it.
Placing it (or linking to it) in the 500 section is not allowed (otherwise the main body of the forum would be cluttered up with ads).
