Technical Steering wheel switch cluster

Good day,
has anyone stripped a steering wheel switch assembly, i.e. removing the cluster from the steering wheel assembly and attempting to strip the wiper assembly to see if there is a fault there. if i cannot do it, i will resort to a new switch assembly. any toughts?

Before pulling it apart just try spraying really excessively with a good quality proper electronics switch cleaner spray and working it at the same time, then give it a while to dry of and test it.
Note , must be switch cleaner not WD40 type spray!
