Steering wheel controls + windows button/blue&me

I hate threads like this :/
Basically, I'm looking at buying a new head unit.
I had a Bluetooth kendwood in my old gp (07reg so it didn't have blue&me) and all the steering wheel controlls worked fine,
But my newer 59reg go has blue and me buttons on the wheel, and a microphone in the overhead light. If I disable blue&me, can the steering wheel buttons be used with the new head units Bluetooth call settings/ music control for Bluetooth media?

Nope, you'll need an adapter lead, and depending upon Head until you'll only be able to do Vol, Prev/Next, mute and funct. No call make / answer.

I've still got my old stalk adapter :/ don't like the idea of having invalid buttons does anyone know if the OEM mic can be used?

Nope, mic can't be used unless you're willing to chore away at the wiring. TBH the standard mic's are not as good as a decent aftermarket one imo anyway.

Regarding having 2 useless buttons, you soon get used to it
