My steering wheel "windows" and track forward/back buttons have stopped working for USB MP3 under B&M. They are fine for controlling the radio.
I've done the usual system reset by removing the battery for a few hours and I still have the same issue. I've also tried plugging other USB sticks in and still the same.
Could it be a CAN issue? Anyone got any thoughts on how that can be reset (without heading to the dreaded dealers)?

I have exactly the same fault in my Bravo. Initially, I thought it was the button cluster at fault, but the buttons function fine in 'radio' mode. I can't access any Blue&Me menu's, also the skip buttons no longer work on my iPod (using the Blue&Me add on). I agree with the above, a reset of Blue&Me would fix, but I don't know how?!

I've done a little more digging and it looks like it may require a "proxi alignment" proceedure on the CAN bus. Unfortunately, this can;t be done with a cheap ODB style ECU connector that you can but to look at error codes, you either need a full Fiat ECU S/W package or let the dealer do it :(

Hi, It is not a can problem. If the can network was faulty the car would not start as the immobilser code is transmitted on the can network. Its possible the ecu`s are not comunicating in the right order. The easy way to know this is if your mileage is flashing. This indicates that one of the ecu`s is not talking when its expected to. To reset the system, you can disconnect both terminals from the battery and touch the terminals together ( on wiring harness ) which will discharge the capacitors in the ecu`s. That might work

I meant to add that if the mileage is flashing it will require a proxi alignment or one of the ecu`s replaced

Thanks for the tips, the mileage is not flashing so I disconnected the terminals and held them together by hand (no wiring loom) for a few minutes but still no change. The backwards/forwards buttons do not work on the radio unit or steering wheel when in Media player mode but are fine for Radio/CD, and the Windows button doesn't work on the steering wheel so I can't hear Mrs Fiat or setup bluetooth for the phone etc... looks like a trip to the dealer???

hello did u get it sorted taking it back to the dealer? If so did they say what the issue was or how to resolve it and any cost of resolving it? My bravo 58 mjet has the EXACT same issue and im completely stumped, any help would be much appreciated :)

hi, i have the same problem, "window button" will not respond at all, bt the other control buttons work wen using the CD player, plus the millage wont stop flashing :( i guess a trip to the dealers for me too. just wanted to know how much it costs? thanks

Sounds like an issue has occurred with the proxi alignment. Might just be a simple cause of needing realigning, so about £40 I'd have thought. Might be worth disconnecting the cars battery to reset everything first.
