Technical Speakers making a weird sound

Hey there, just bought my punto and ive noticed there seems to be a strange sounds coming from the rear left speaker, the speakers are generally really bassy and its difficult to listen to music. Any solutions?

the speaker could be split which would give a weird sound or poor quality sound or there could be something sat in the cone of the speaker and just needs a clean out.

For the bass just turn the Bass down on the Head unit or if you have the Manufacturer Sub just pull the fuse out of it lol.

As Mario says, as its just the one speaker its likely that its damaged or there is something rattling about on top of it. You could pop the speaker out and have a look for visible damage or just simply replace it with a standard one from a scrap car or ebay etc depending on what you find.

When I got a secondhand Punto I had the same issue, turned out someone had smashed the rear window and the speaker was full of glass. Only found out after I bought a new one so have a look before you buy a replacement.

Thanks for the suggestions but it just turned out to be a dodgy stereo system! Changed it out and it was fine. Although whilst driving it today when I turned the wheel full lock to the left the power steering light came on and the steering was really heavy, is this a common problem? Cheers ��

Once I restarted the engine the steering was fine again also!

Im putting it into a family friends garage for him to check it all over and repair any minor faults etc so hopefully all is well . Thanks guys!
