As per the title ..... I've seen them knocking about and thought ... nice...

Not bought yet , cos I'm still learning the nuances , not sure what to avoid and what to jump on

I think I fancy an auto .... so that narrows the available cars out there.
I wouldn't be totally opposed to a manual.. but seeing as I'm in a DCT right now ("only" 90hp, but I love it to bits)

I actually started this journey by liking a 500 Hybrid's looks.... but now I've thought about the abarth

I have gathered they stopped abarth production late last year - or am I wrong ?

Seen a few online and currently see a 2022 auto f(bit over mileage) or about 15K and also a 2018 auto (with very low mileage)for about £12K

Two key extras I'm used to are heated seats (I believe some have this), and cruise control (I believe this can be added)

Any help and advice would be gratefully received , thanks in advance

Hi Zaphod B having gone through too many cars to count, the one thing I always look at is the dreaded depreciation of which unfortunately Fiat seems to be hit with, unless you go for the odd special edition models that were made in limited numbers e.e Ferrari or Maserati. I went for a 50th Anniversario that is basically the same but different colour. If I had a choice I would have chosen a Manual, the only reason is the auto box is noted to be unreliable. Having said that I have not encountered any problems with mine (touch wood) but saying that the paddle shift is great especially in sport mode. I would try and keep clear of highly self tuned versions, in other words non standard. I find the power to weight ratio there, so no need to go over 180BHP otherwise the car is far to “jittery” & finishes up sliding all over the place with front wheel spin.
Best of luck with the search.

Thanks for that detailed reply.....

I've actually found one that I think will suit me down to the ground, and bizarrely it's less than 1/2 a mile away at a small dealer.

Just 3 years old, not a mark on it, and just less than 20k on the clock, the dealer came out on a sunday to open up and show it to me.

Edit: Oh , and having realised the auto isn't a true auto, I've gone with manual. (I've had robotised 'boxes before and they're ok, but I just thought if it was a proper auto I would have gone with one, because I've been spoilt for the last ten years with a DCT_

I'll say no more til I've nailed my name to it tomorrow.
