looks like i can get it for a shade under £330 before quidco cashback(interest free payments,rather not pay all in one go if i can avoid it)

Sony are poo IMO, you can get decent Refurb Cannon's that will pi$$ all over that for less.

Thats because its Sony I dont know of any pro's who use Sony they arent bad but there not the best value for money.
Look for a cheap or refurb Canon EOS 1000D they seem to be about the best on your budget.

These people seem to have a good rep but i will text my mate and find out the place that i know are excelent for refurb units.

Although i have been reading the revies of cannon outlet and they arent even refurbs most of the time just cheap new product.
