Is the passenger footwell wet or damp?./ . . check your coolant level - is it dropping over time?

Could be a leaky heater matrix.

sorry but my pet hate is people who instantly say heater matrix.....no offence mdeko, it could be that.

However one the mk1 punto the drainage pipes uder the windscreen wipers get clogged and the rainwater doesn't drain. This goes stagnant, stinks and causes the window to steam up.

Simple to fix, just unbolt the piece of black plastic trim that covers the window wipers, if you look down there will be two holes, open the bonnet and at the back will be two short pipes at the very back, about 2 inches wide and about 4 inches long.

Just squeeze them to let the rubbish out, you might want to wear some gloves as it can be nasty stuff.
