Hi,

This Sunday I found my car with the smashed front bumper smashed, the headlight retaining/fixing tabs broken, the fog light is also broken.

I think the bumper can be rapaired with a bit of plastic welding.
But before i atempt this i want to know as much as possible about removing the bumper.

Can anybody help with a bumper removal/refitting guide?
a schetch with all the screws... any retaining tabs..etc.

car: Bravo 198, from 2008 1.4 120 T-jet

I never find what i want in the version of e-learn i have at home.
Any trick to using it?

the headlight retaining/fixing tabs broken,

Fiat supply repair kits for the headlamp brackets. I think the part numbers for the Bravo are: 71749158 for the right headlamp and 71749159 for the left headlamp, but check with your dealer before ordering them. They are about €25 each.

This is from eLearn for removing the front bumper and headlamp.
.

My insurance doesn't cover things like that.

If the person that hit it would have given me there insurace it would have been fixed with it.
But they ran away... no phone number.. nothing

In Romania it's a bit like that but here the insurance is still petty cheap( up to 2000cc after that it gets verry steep).
For example for my 1.4 t-jet i pay.. about 100euros/year in insurance (mandatory insurance..that only pays to the person i hit. it does not pay to me)
The other type of insurance Casco.. would be between 500-1500euros/year.( this one would take care of parking lot bumps, broken windows... etc ( will probably get one of those in a few weeks after i repair the car.

I pay 550 euro a year for the full insurance, it would pay me even if I smashed the car to a wall myself.

Insurance companies in European countries are real thieves, they wave that bonus reward in front of the customer like a carrot in front of a donkey. What good is an insurance if you're always afraid to use it?

Well there's always a detrimental side to claiming, your telling me your next years insurance wouldn't go up - if the cost of fixing the damage doesn't exceed the increase in premium then it doesn't make a lot of sense...

insurance never goes up. you pay an extra 10%, 20%, 30% the following year only when you have a seriously bad accident like sending someone to hospital for serious enjuries, killing someone, or totaling your car.

A simple harmless accident doesn't result on any increase.

No, the theives are the scum who claim £'000 for whiplash after a minor bash when they've no injuries. Thats why UK insurance is so high. If you'd see so of the costs for a minor claim you'd be shocked I think! (n)
