So I was out and about yesterday when suddenly in traffic the engine just decided to die and wouldn't start was a while, then later on it decided to do it again! This isn't the first two times it's happen tho but it can sometimes decide to die when slowing down¿ igniton is all good just leads down to fuel really. Any Ideas anyone??? Should the fuel filer be filled all the way up with fuel? As at the mounment its just under half way.

Many thanks, Lewis

Favourite candidates would be ignition module on the distributor starting to go, tends to die when it gets hot to start with so everything will look fine when you're trying to fault find on the drive later. Otherwise possibly crud in the fuel blocking the idle jet, this would mean the engine won't idle but it would restart with a bit of throttle then die as soon as you lift off again. On mine I had issues with the short fuel pipes from filter to pump, then pump to carb perishing and dropping tiny flakes of rubber into the fuel and doing that. Worth a look. (The filter is usually only part filled with fuel so not a worry there.)

Haha so it's just a normal panda thing then? If so my passengers will have to cope with me keep breaking down hahaha

Not regular don't worry, but most of the Sisley's seem to go through a range of symptoms when the module breaks down. It gets too hot, stops working (it controls the spark I understand), and then works when it cools down again. Symptoms gradually get worse until it grinds to a halt with a huge backfire & cloud of smoke (in my case). Since buying several spares (I forget where they are!), it's run perfectly for 4 years - I fully expect it to break again at some point though. At least it's an easy and inexpensive fix! (y)
