Technical Sensor

Just noticed a sensor of some sort in the middle of the dash, is this the light sensor as I thought they were similar to the 807 and c8 which are attached to the windscreen, I've popped it out to have a look at it but was wondering what it is for?

Thanks Fran but still think there's a fault with the indicator stalk aswell as when I switch left hand indicator on the lights go off and when I switch lights on fully then switch main beam on it then activates voice demand
