I want to swap out the fiat engine for a f20c 2 ltr. Ok I already have had the Fiat motor for 20 + years, Fuel economy and HP are what I'm after now. Since fiat can't make a 240+hp lightweight stock motor .... this one will fit with the least modifications. Apparently a guy in Australia did it. Does anyone have any idea if it's been done again? if so I would like to chat with them. any other ideas???/

i am also looking to do a swap, although not with a honda motor, but with a modified Ford Ranger motor turboed and setup like the old SVO Mustangs from the 80s i have seen a few street trucks here pushing about 200-250 hp with less than 2k in the motor and stock trans,i will also be looking to put either a ford nine inch or a fox body rear end under the car. do u have access to an S2000 motor and trans?

The S2000 swap would make sense since it would not add nearly as much weight as the Ford motor would. Just be sure to address the additional stress on the drivetrain (transmission, guibo, differential and u-joints) that 140+ more will add.

The Ford motor will add a lot of weight to the front end and along with swapping out the rear end you will probably lose the handling characteristics of a Spider.

yes i am aware of all of that, its just that living in Arkansas,i have way more access to ford parts than i do to Honda S2000 parts, lol im looking for something i can work on myself, and this is a 93 Ranger with OBD1,no catalytic converter or outsmarting the computer needed, and i am also going to swap the driveline and axle for a Fox body Mustang rear end and have my own driveshaft made. the things us rednecks will do...lol

btw, its a 4 cyl. ranger motor i am putting into the car, a 2.3 L that shouldnt be too much heavier than the S2000 motor, right??
