Technical Rev Counter & speedo Not Working!!!!

Hi everyone im new to this site as I've just bought a 2004 1.2 8v active sport punto its a nice car and cheap to run... the only problem with the car is both speedo and rev counter are not working has anyone had this before......

Are they on the same circuit....

The dashboard has several wires.... but i believe the whole dash board is on the same circuit
So i'd expect other dashboard related issues
LIke no fuel guage, no temperature guage, no little clock at bottom etc etc

2 fuses tho are used to power it
F8 and F24, both 10amps

Id suspect a Communication problem or faulty dash

if no crank sensor wasn't working i;d say that was cause of dash - but engine runs yes?

If speedo sensor didnt work - Powersteering wont work either

yes engine runs fine no warning lights ..... Fuel and temp and mileage all working good.... Steering is a little heavy but really light with city on.... Will check fuses tomorrow.. what side is speed sensor on.. could I put a meter on it see what I'm getting coming onto the sensor...once again cheers

Hi forgot to mention when you say communication issues .... is that ecu etc.... cheers
