Hi,
I've just bought a 2013 LWB Fiat Doblo van and I'm about to convert it to a camper. It doesn't have glass in the rear doors so my plan is to fit privacy glass to them as i dont like reversing blind!.
Whilst looking for glass I've found some with holes for wipers and as I do everything belts and braces was wondering if there will be mounting points for the motor in the door.
I would check myself but there's a protective panels on the doors I'd rather not remove if someone can answer this or has done it themselves and problems encountered. Cheers Stef

Would it not be easier to buy a S/H rear door or tailgate with glass and wiper already in place.
It is much easier than trying to cut a hole and seal glass into a metal rear door.
You can then fit security film on the inside of the glass.
I have driven many big and small vans with no rear glass and soon got used to using the side mirrors, much the same as any delivery driver does.
The only thing I do do when getting into a van ready to reverse is have a quick look at the rear for safety.
There are different types of door, double opening doorsand what used to be known as "bread van door" where it swings up in the air and provides extra rain cover when unloading etc.
I have a 2010 Doblo Maxi van with the two rear opening doors, but also a 2014 Vauxhall Combo van which has the "bread van type" , apart from badges they are almost identical vehicles.:)

Hi Mike. thanks for the reply. I've actually looked at the option of buying doors with glass in already and it works out at least twice the price compared to fitting glass myself.
I've previously cut holes and fitted glass to my friend's Transit so I'm aware of what's involved.
I've also considered the tailgate option but that would involve welding new hinges in place for fitment.
I've actually went off the idea of the rear wiper as today while "attempting" to fit my Kenwood stereo from my Corsa I noticed the windscreen wiper stalk only has front wiper and washer controls so that also would have to be changed.
I presumed the parts used would be the same just not connected at the
device end.
I'm an Aspie so getting used to it is not an option😵‍💫🤣
Anyway back to the stereo, it works in my car but not in the van, I checked the fuses and everything was fine. I put it back in my car and it works.
The van has 3 ISO plugs, 2 of which fit the rear of the stereo. I presume the other is for steering wheel controls or does it need to be connected via an ISO adapter harness. I've searched online but can't find an answer or even a harness for a Doblo, found a few for Fiat 500s but I'm not sure if they're compatible. Have you any experience on this situation?
Thanks Stef.

I thought maybe a cheap door from a scrapyard was an option, but hadn't priced one up.
The last time I fitted windows in a van was 50 years ago and I made a poor job of it:(
Changing to a tailgate would be much harder I agree.
Some with glass don't bother with rear wiper, but if you had to fit a wiper plus washer, I suppose separate switches could be an option.
I had to look up"Aspie" never heard the word.:)
I used to have a 05 Doblo 7 seater with tailgate and rear wiper and had to get an adaptor from radio shop for a two ISO fitting, but it worked with ignition on but didn't give power to memory save with ignition off, some are a pain.
Another car I had (Nissan Almera) kept Immobilising it's self and the only way I could keep it running was with a Australian/NZ computer program that could read all the codes and let me start it again using a lap top kept under the drivers seat. When I finally located the problem , it was a non original radio that caused it!:)
