Hi, I have purchased the wrong replacement Indicator stalk, I should have got the one with Cruise Control. Is it possible to swap the old and new stalk and not have cruise control? I live in Australia and parts are expensive to purchase and send here. I would be able to survive without cruise control and hope the car will be usable without buying the correct stalk. Thanks in advance

Hello,

I have a Ducato from the same era as your Punto, I'm struggling to add a cruise control to my van. So since several rides the cruise control is activated on the van, but the stalk is not connected to the ECU. And the van drives with no problem, it displays no errors on the instrument cluster. However when I connect the diagnostic tool, MultiEcuScan, it shows that the cruise control stalk is not connected. But the van drives with no problems.

So I assume it should be the same with your car.

Then I don't know what was the problem in your stalk, but it might be possible to combine both ;)

The Indicator stalk is the one not working properly, I have never tried the cruise control. I have only had the car a few weeks. I didn't realise the correct stalk assembly would have 3 different stalks and purchased one from aliexpress that only has 2 stalks and am hoping it won't present a problem with the car(ecu or whatever). If the aliexpress one breaks I will probably purchase one from Italy for quite a bit more money.
Thanks for your reply
