General reg info wanted please

How can i tell which reg my panda is? What does it mean?

here we call reg, the date the car was made, the number/licence plate on the front and back of our cars, shows the year made in a sort of code.
ie a car made between august 1987 ang august 1988 the plate would start with a E, we then call that an E reg,

Things have got easier now, all the codes like E etc. have gone and now we have a new system:

04 = Feb 04 - Sep 04
54 = Sep 04 - Feb 05

etc.

So HV52LDX would be from Portsmouth, Hampshire and would have been registered Sep 02 - Feb 03

I think those are the months, I'm not entirely sure.

still only an english system, in portugal they wont have the same system

Yup, we got the date stamped on the right side of the plates.
