Technical Rear wiper motor 500l

I have just tried to replace the rear wiper motor on my 500l and it appears to riveted in place instead of bolted. How do you get it off ?

You have to drill through the rivet head. Replace with same diameter rivets. Or stainless small bolts with nylon lock nuts.

Thanks, why could they not just put bolts on in the first place.
