General Rare 126 Wheels?

Hi all,

A member of Turbo Collective picked up a set of compo's from me last night, and very kindly pointed out there was a set of rare 126 steel wheels (with the very wide bolt spacing and the dish) in a pile of scrap on my other halfs parents land, and that they might be worth something - firstly, does he sound right?

Paul certainly seems to know his stuff, but i guess they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them, like anything.

I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow.

As you can see they are only in fair condition, but that said i think a shot blast would bring them back to life.

Are they a 'find', or worth only a tenner?

I don't know how helpful this is but there's a set of very similar wheels on ebay at the moment listed for a 127. Starting price of £5 and no bids. Maybe that says something?

PCD looks all wrong to me for a 127 though.

That certainly doesn't bode well (as he slings them back on the scrap pile!), unless you're right about the PCD, and potentially would-be buyers are not seeing the auction...
