Hi guys. Recently bought a Punto GT 2 (i guess, since its from 95). The car is allegdly stock, except the 16 inch speedline wheels, an OMP strut brace, a turbo pressure regulator and an awfull 2 exit pipe exausht. The car is shy of 61k miles (its a portuguese car, but I converted the kms). It's been parked for a while, 1 year, maybe 2. I went and took a look at the car, drove it. Everything seemed ok. Boost rises a tiny bit over the midle of the gauge.
I brought the car home and parked it. It has no inspecion yet.
A few days later I went to the car, boost started the car and everything was normal. I washed the car and when I started it again the injector light stayed on all the time. And some times the code light stayed on. Also the RPM gauge stoped working, and it was working before.

Bought a new battery because the old one was shot, and put it in. The code light and the injector light went away. But the RPM's shill don't display. Anyone has a clue on what could it be? I appreciate any knowlege that could be shared.:)

Hi , well done on getting a low mileage gt [emoji1303], I think the rpm gauge gets data from the ecu , you could have got some water around the ecu which is under the plastic windscreen scuttle wipers area , or could be just a faulty gauge i guess, if you could get a spare to try . Also try leaving the battery disconnected for a day it may sort itself out [emoji848]

Guys I need a bit of help once more.
I can't do a blink test on my GT. I got a peace of wire, touched the pin of the white and blue wire and touched the other end on metal for a few seconds. Nothing happened. Then I flatened one end of the wire and pressed it in on the pin until the end. Nothing happened again. Then I tried to ground the 2 other pins and nothing happens on any og them.
Another thing. My water pump for the windshield was bad, the one for the lights is good. I changed the one that was bad, but it has 2 outputs. and it has 2 rubber tubes, one that takes the water to the windshield and the other one I don't know were it goes. Does the Punto GT have rear water jets? I left it disconected because I am afraid that its dumping water inside the car.
