Technical Punto braking for me!!

I have noticed that my Active Sport will sometimes brake if i shift from 3rd to 2nd at high(ish) speeds, when using engine braking to slow for corners/traffic lights. I usually hover my foot over the brake pedal, and sometimes notice it depressing it'self. Has anyone else noticed this - or am i going mad?!?!? (My girlfriend says she has noticed it on the car as well).

The only way I can explain this is that as the engine changes down the engine creates a lot of torque, most of this is transfered to the wheels but some is transfered to the engine mounts and therefore the car. Any twist will make something move, in your case its the brake pedal.

No, haven't had anyone look at it yet, need to find a reliable garage in the southampton area - anyone had any luck?? Does anyone know of any good bodyshops in that area??
