Technical Power steering light flickers on

Hey guys,

For a few days now the red steering light in my punto comes on for like half a second then off again at completely random times - speeding up to join the motorway, slowing down to go round a roundabout, etc.

A couple days ago my engine management light was also on for like a day, then went off again.

I read somewhere that if each of these lights flashes or come on or in any other way misbehave, it could possibly be caused by the battery being on its way out - is this true?

I don't want to replace a battery that has nothing wrong with it, so I think I'll get the free battery health check at kwik fit, but are there any other explanations for the power steering light flashing on and off so quickly?

I never knew that that's what ionised water was for! Great video, I'll definitely be doing a bit of battery maintenance this weekend!
