Replacing the motor is actually VERY simple

with steering cowl off
3x 10 or 13mm bolts for the metal shield
then 3x torx bolts on the starter motor, You MIGHT get away with using a normal socket, as there not on that tight, but be aware of that
Disconnect power
Pull free
Remember to check the torque damper (a rubber bung thing)
Either stays in the steering motor housing, or you refit it in before fitting new motor

Refit is removal of reverse
Battery off isn't a bad idea either, but to me - not essential

What im worried about is there is NO PUMP on a punto powersteering....

just the motor
The calibration is to ensure the motors turning to match the required angle required vs the input from the driver

And people have had the motor and ecu replaced with no issues....

So what have you been actually charged for?

Just looked through the receipt and what ive had done is the motor and ecu. Then recalibrated. Dont have a clue where i got pump from haha. Been a long day.

Had it done at PuntoMan in Rugeley. So should all be good now
