Pink Cinq

I'm in the process of buying a red cinq that has turned pink in the sun, over the years. Is it safe enough just to cut the paint back? Have done it before with my moms Polo (identical problem) but don't want to worry that it's going to end up with no paint left on it! Then what's the best thing to use afterwards to help slow future fading?

Try T-Cut first, if that's no good get a rubbing compound. If you do it properly once and then regularly wash, polish/wax it then the fading shouldn't return.

Mine is a real pink cinq, kinda Ironically I'm buying it because the Brava's probably going pink.

TBH you can never stop fade even when mopped by a professional the paint will fade within months! It only usually happens on solid colours as the paint oxidises over time. But as already stated if you wash & wax regularly it should slow it down!
