Does anyone know if a 4x4 has ever been adapted as a full on utility vehicle.

Just bought one to use to tow (yes tow) Harrows and fertiliser spinner over my paddocks.

My OH is designing other options for it and was wondering if anyone has actually done it.

Also are LPG kits available on the FIRE engine?

Besides who on earth would want a Kawasaki Quad or Mule at about 100 times the price of a secondhand Panda!

Sorry, can't answer all the questions but welcome to the Fiat Forum anyway.

BTW, it seems that LPG isn't quite as green as once thought but I don't see why a kit shouldn't be available ...

AND, what's wrong with using a Panda as a tow vehicle?

i don't know if it can be done but i think it can. but surely putting a uno diesel engine in and running it on red diesel would be better for farm use.

I think it is a great idea! A panda can cost less than a decent self-propelled mower, nevermind a sit on mower or quad!

Michael Howard's wife has a Panda!

Anyone see the pictures in the Daily Mail, her Panda previously being used to transport sheep?

Wow! Learner Driver I most certainly an not!

Have driven 000's of miles in different Panda from 81-90.
I did all my original off roading in a 4x4 and even got it stuck - well bellied and was easy to get out.

Since then I had to grow up, and shock horror am running a V8 Range Rover. No not an apres RR driver mine has to work, frequently getting her feet very dirty. Have tractors too (old ones) but with kiddies law doesnt allow them in tractors and I somehow still have to get the paddocks done.

If I went with red derv then it is restricted to farm and we have fields 10 mile + apart, so dare not do that.

When I picked up this one for field use the vendor also had a Sisley the same colour as the RR. So might twist OH to let me have that one as well! hehehe! Corporate colours!!! Besides even when the RR is on a good journey 27/g we consider good. It would be great to run a car all week again on a tenner!

Oh and yes there were diesel engines available in Italy.

Thanks for the support.

Some people might say that the Panda looks like a miniature Range Rover :)

BTW, send Ben some dosh to support the Fiat Forum site and you can have any name you like, e.g. "Super-Duper Driver" instead of "Learner Driver".

sorry, but "Top Beagle" is already taken :D
