General Panda Mojo?

General Panda Mojo?

I periodically lose my Panda mojo. When I have it they are great little cars, fun to drive, easy to work on, I can dismiss their many obvious faults. But when I lose my Panda mojo I see them as rusty, unreliable heaps and take a notion to sell whatever Panda I happen to own at the time. That's why I've had so many. It's been a struggle to hang on to Splutter for the last few weeks, but now that I got my finger out and repaired what needed done for the mot my Panda mojo is back. For now...

Me too... I dunno, I seem to be dissilushioned with the whole Fiat thing, not the fault of the cars at all, but the general apathy towards attending shows etc. It seems Im all alone Pandaring down here, never meet anyone and its the same with my 126... just no one seems bothered to come out anymore. I mentioned this to the wife whilst in the Panda today, and when I went to restart her (the Panda) nothing!!!! Turned out to be the ignition to solenoid lead... see Fiats do have soul!
Seriously thinking of becoming a VW person, as I know loads of people who actually take their cars out to meets and shows all the time.

Your more than welcome to come to Istanbul ;)

With me I think it was the whole german thing with the BMW getting totalled and Sylvia going thou her exhaust 3 times....

I've not had any time off work since last August and I was really looking forward to getting away from work with her and tackling Europe but it just didn't happen.

It's caused loads of personal problems since I got back and it looks like I'm going to have to take some time off work again and I'm starting to blame poor Sylvia

:(

I've read what happened to you at nurburgring.. no words for that..
I have some problems with my panda too.. and I have a Fiat 600 since 14 so.. now I don't blame panda, I'm selling 600:rolleyes:

Racing is one of those things Jim it has it's good days and bad, the Nurburgring is very tough and demanding and the slightest lapse in consentration spells disaster, anyone could have trashed the 3 series.

As for sylvia she' done incredibly well over the last few years, she was due a couple of tantrums just thankfully it wasn't in the middle of nowhere but even with the exhaust broken she would still have run the distance no problem. I just hope willie runs as well to Istanbul without tantrum.

defo not lost my panda mojo after today passing all the modern euro boxes that had broke down in the floods because of there crappy electrics! been driving over debris all over the road and up the verges round fallen trees with the heater on full it was like being in a sauna(y) for once i cant wait for the twenty mile trip to work in the morning bring it on juppy 2 loves it:slayer:

Mojo..?
My plan was to run the CLX while I tarted up EllenA... but it broke. But even though it's fixed now, I'm a bit wary of putting it back into daily use - still running too rich methinks... and still got oil leak... (must be from rear crank seal), and only tested to end Aug  (but I want a bit more out of that sunroof goddammit... and the bonnet 'pings' up lovely 1st pull...)

...meanwhile, everyday ladder-carrying EllenA has had on board water supply with all this wet weather - due to door seal (similar to as posted on here recently) - peeling back door sealing strip has revealed big big hole in sill where door strip joint was...
hmm, only way to cure oil leak is to drop gearbox... put new seal in - tried those engine oil additive 'stop leak' cures before - didn't work...

Panda Mojo..? I just don't know...

Well I'm enjoying Panda ownership right now, even though blasting from Winsford to Liverpool each morning in the week is a bit loud and not particularly comfortable. I mean today the wipers weren't working for 90% of the time, luckily most of the water was on the ground and not falling from the skies.

But yesterday (as mentioned in another thread) it swallowed five people and never kicked up a proper fuss once, and sipped fuel all day. Also handled a lot smoother on the steelies... So they're staying on.

It's in need of some TLC but I'm in that not very nice situation of there not being enough hours in the day.

Well... I went off down to the docs today with more headaches (thankfully not as bad... Really brings new meaning to car ownership being a 'pain', lol) so I'm off for 2 weeks.

I think thou I'll leave it to next week to find my Panda Mojo....
