some days it runs like a dream, others poor acceleration, jerky running at constant speed, lack of idle.
Just had new Dizzy+bits, leads, timing belt.
cud it be the solenoid on front of the webber carb, a bad earth, nackered fuse box??? any help appreciated

Many thanks

Mike

thanks for the reply mate,
will give the "baked bean tin" as i affectionatly call it a new filter and see about a fuel pump, although id of thought that if that broke or was worn out it wudnt give intermittant probs and pack up constantly??
i will update after fuel filter replacement.
thanks for ur ideas...

Check all your wiring and particularly earths - the Italian tinworm is particularly vicious for Pandas of your "vintage" [:0]

Steve the geriatric Panda and Beagle freak, but can't see no problem in running a Brava in the meantime ...

I'll second that !!
Earth everything in sight, directly to the bodywork where possible. Fiat seem to know even less about electrics than they do about handbrakes...........
Don't you just love them:)

HHmmmmmmm

As well as the fuel filter there is a small filter in the carb as well. This can be cleaned out using petrol. See the Haynes Manual for details.

Fix It Again Tony!
Would swap for X19, Montecarlo Spider or GT.i.e in average/poor condition! Scottish based would be nice.

cheers all, just dropped on a new fuel pump as a new filter didnt help. - intermittent probs just do my nut in!!

will try other idea's as and when the latest fix doesnt work.

i must say, didnt expect this much help - thanks 2all!!

after droppin in a new fuel filter, no better.
Bolted on new fuel pump - ran sweet as a nut 4a day.
so now just put on another carb and will see what gives in the next week..

Don't know if you've already tried this, but has the carburettor been cleaned recently??I mean in the acid solution used to do it!

<--Can my face look like this if I meet a Danish and/or a Swedish supporter!?

At last - success!!
seems it was a combination of everthing i replaced bein worn out, the last being the carb which i picked up for $40 from an on-line scrap dealer!

running sweet as the day it left the show room again..

Thanks 2all who helped!!
