Technical Over Running Engine after Switch off

What a common cause for the engine to spin over a couple times after killing the ignition?

I've been told maybe:

Carb is dying
Fuel Pump Knackered
Fuel hanging around where its contining to be ignited.

I've changed the Fuel pump but I hear Carbs are damn expensive any ideas?

Driving a 1.6 Carb Tipo.

most likely you need to whip off the head and decoke the head,this stays hot and ignites the fuel in the carb.
not a big job if oyu can take the head off your self
