Technical Oil pressure warning light on with engine off

Hi guys, I have a bit of a strange problem - the red oil pressure warning lamp lights up when engine is off. After the ignition key is turned and the car starts the light turns off (as it normally should if there's no pressure problem). The oil pressure gauge showing good pressure. No other warning lights stay lit up on the instrument panel after turning the engine off. Someone suggested to just get the bulb out but of course that's something I would rather avoid Maybe someone has come across similar issue before?

The light indicates
Low Oil Pressure

So engine rotating ressure good = no light

Engine stationary : low pressire=light on

That all sounds correct to me

Or are you saying the light is illuminated when the car is parked and locked?

Oil pressure low warning switch is different to the oil pressure sensor.

Oil pressure switches operate at around 6 to 10 psi.

If the oil pressure guage is remaining high with the engine not running than this could point to either sensor or the guage or a guage wiring issue.
